New European Standard for Crimp- and Shrinkage Tests

The new European standard EN 14621 replaces parts of the German standards DIN 53840 and DIN 53866. It specifies crimp contraction and shrinkage tests on multifilament yarns. You can perform measurements according to this standard automatically using the TEXTURMAT ME+ crimp and shrinkage tester.

The tester has already been in use for measurements according to the DIN standards as well as to ASTM D 4031 (crimp properties) and ASTM D 2259 (shrinkage). A special software for testing air-textured yarns enlarges the scope of application of this tester.
