The huge variety of filament yarns available on the market requires a correspondingly wide range of testing methods and equipment – both in industrial quality control as well as in research and development.
In many fields, TEXTECHNO was the first to develop and produce testers dedicated to the special needs of those products. Prime examples are the TEXTURMAT crimp contraction tester introduced in 1971, the DYNAFIL dynamic thermal stress tester in 1972, the STATIMAT 4 tensile tester for high-tenacity yarns in 1990 and the STATIMAT MEL tensile tester for Elastanes / Spandex presented in 2003.
